Scrappage Policy

Scrappage policy is to be implemented from April 1, 2021. It received approval from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on 25^th January 2021. The policy directs vehicles older than 15 years belonging to the central and state governments to be scrapped. This is expected to revive demand in the automobile sector. The scrappage policy for personal and commercial vehicles is not yet announced.
