Over 27% students cannot access online classes- NCERT

As per a recent survey conducted by the National Council for Education Research and Training (NCERT), around 27% of the students do not have access to smartphones and laptops for attending the online classes. Around 26% students found the online classes difficult.

Madhya Pradesh tops in implementing PM SVANidhi Scheme

Madhya Pradesh is the leading state in implementing the Pradhan Mantri Street Vendors Atma-Nirbhar Scheme (PM SVANidhi). The state has sanctioned interest free loans of Rs 10000 to more than 58000 street vendors, so far. Identity cards are distributed to the registered vendors.

Indore wins the Cleanest City award for the fourth time

The results of Swachh Survekshan 2020 survey was announced. Indore retained the first position as the cleanest city of India, for the fourth time in a row. Surat bagged the second place while Navi Mumbai was ranked third. The survey monitors the performance of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

5-year National strategy for Financial Education released by RBI

The Reserve Bank of India has released a 5-year national strategy for financial education. The strategy aims to teach financial literacy concepts among all people of the country. It will also encourage people to participate in financial markets and use digital financial services safely.

Labour Ministry launched new logo of the Labour Bureau

Union Minister for Labour and Employment, Santosh Kumar Gangwar has recently launched a new logo of the Labour Bureau, an arm of the Labour ministry. The Minister also said that the Labour Bureau needs complete digitalisation for its efficient functioning.

Trial run of RO-RO service held in Palakkad Division

Indian Railways has recently conducted the trial of Roll on-Roll off (RO-RO) service in the Tokur – Shoranur section, Palakkad division of the Southern Railways. Trucks loaded with vegetables, coconuts, rubber can be transported from Kerala to Gujarat and Maharashtra using this service.
