National Beekeeping and Honey Mission

Nation Beekeeping and Honey Mission (NBHM) is provided with Rs.500 crore outlay for three years (2020-21 to 2022-23). The mission was first announced by the Central Government as part of the Atmanirbhar Bharat scheme. It seeks to achieve ‘Sweet Revolution’ through scientific beekeeping. Various measures will be undertaken as part of this mission, like setting up Integrated Beekeeping Development Centre, honey testing labs, bee disease diagnostic labs, promoting horticulture/agriculture etc.
