‘Nammal Namukkayi’ will be launched on 21st January

To make disaster management at the local level more inclusive, a citizen-centric unique initiative will be launched on Tuesday, 21st January 2020 in the state of Kerala by the Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan from the Girideepam Convention Centre at Thiruvananthapuram. The unique initiative named ‘Nammal Namukkayi’ will offer the people of the state of Kerala the opportunity to raise their opinion on the key aspects of disaster management through comments and suggestions that will help the lawmakers in the state to develop more resilient approaches at the time of disaster, the comment and suggestions can be posted at the web portal – ‘pcp.rebuild.kerala.gov.in’. For the need of immediate attention, the Kerala State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA) has identified five areas on which the people of the state can share their comments and suggestions by providing their mobile number and entering the one-time password (OTP) sent for authentication of the suggestion or comment. Apart from the final policy roadmap that will be prepared based on the inputs on each of the five identified areas, a separate committee will develop papers on the citizen-centric inputs that will be presented in an International Seminar.
