Ministry of Tourism approves Gandhi Encyclopedia

The Union Minister of State(Independent Charge) for Culture and Tourism, Prahlad Singh Patel in a written reply to Rajya Sabha on Tuesday, 10th December 2019 informed that the Government is developing the ‘Gandhi Encyclopedia’ to spread awareness and for promotion of appropriate Gandhian philosophy among the citizens.
The Ministry of Culture has approved a project proposed by the National Council of Science Museums, Kolkata for development of Gandhi Encyclopedia that will promote the appropriate Gandhian philosophy and thoughts through social media platforms under the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi commemoration.
For the project, the ministry has approved financial assistance of Rs 5.25 crore and has released an amount of Rs 2.95 crore as the first installment.
