Integrated Automatic Aviation Meteorological System
Integrated Automatic Aviation Meteorological System is ambitious project of Indian Navy to modernise Meteorological infrastructure of 9 Naval Air Stations (NAS). The project will give a major fillip to aviation safety, through automation of weather monitoring process. It has a special alarm feature that alerts the duty staff about any abnormal change of weather parameters that may affect safe flying operations. The first-ever ‘Integrated Automatic Aviation Meteorological System (IAAMS)’ was inaugurated at INS Rajali.
