India’s Military Exercises in December 2019
India will be participating in four bilateral military exercises in December 2019. The Ministry of Defence has informed that in the last 3 years Indian Army has conducted 72 joint exercises, 39 by Indian Navy, and 21 by Indian Air force, and 2 Tri-services.
1) India-Russia bilateral tri-service exercise ‘Indra”
This will be the 11th edition of the exercise and will be conducted in India.
Indra is a tri-service bilateral exercise( tri-services means Army, Navy, and Air force all three forces of Defence participating)
2)8th edition of India-China Bilateral military exercise ‘Hand-in-Hand’
Scheduled to be held at Umroi, Meghalaya
3)7th edition of India-SriLanka bilateral military exercise ‘MITRA SHAKTI’
Scheduled to be conducted at the Foreign Training Node(FTN), Pune from 1-14 December 2019
4)14th edition of India-Nepal bilateral military exercise ‘SURYA KIRAN’
Scheduled to be conducted from 3-16 December at Salijhandi, Rupendehi district of Nepal
