India’s 74th Republic Day Parade – Highlights
India celebrated its 74th republic day on January 26, 2023. The President of India Draupadi Murmu hoisted the flag during the celebrations. This is the first republic day parade after the Raj Path was renamed as Kartavya Path. Egyptian President Sisi was the chief guest. A contingent of the Egyptian Army also participated in the parade.

- 144 personnel of the Egyptian contingent marched on the Kartavya Path
- Vintage Artillery: 21 – Gunshot salute with 105 mm field guns
- Six Contingents marched the path” Maratha Light Infantry regiment, Mechanised Infantry Regiment, Dogra Regiment, Bihar Regiment, Punjab Regiment, and Gorkha Brigade
- Camel Riders (Feamle) of the BSF Camel Regiment: India is the only country to hold a camel regiment in the world
- Motor Cycle Riders: Dare Devils
- Tableau of Indian Navy: All women crew displaying Indian Navy’s “Make in India” initiatives
- Tableau of Indian Air Force: Theme: IAF Power Beyond Boundaries
- Tableau of DRDO: Theme: Securing Nation with Effective communication, surveillance, and neutralizing threats
- State and UT Tableaus focused on cultural blends
- Assam: Land of Heroes and Spiritualism
- Gujarat: Clean Energy Efficient
- Uttarakhand: Tourism
- The Ministries showcased the themes of the future of India
Above all the Indian Air Force presented an amazing air show. 45 aircraft participated in the show.
