Indian-American becomes Chief Judge of the US Court of Appeals for DC Circuit

Indian-American judge Sri Srinivasan has been recently appointed the Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit. The judge has created history as he became the first ever Indian-American to lead the powerful federal circuit court.

The DC circuit is considered more powerful in the United States, as it is only next to the US Supreme Court. Srinivasan was appointed to the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit in 2013. He had also served as the Principal Deputy Solicitor General of the United States.
