India wins hockey junior World Cup after a gap of 15 years

India has won the hockey junior World Cup by defeating Belgium 2-1 at the Major Dhyan Chand Stadium in Lucknow. This will be India’s second world title after a gap of 15 years. With this win, India has also become the first nation to win the hockey junior World Cup at home. Earlier, India has won its first title in Hobart, Australia in 2001. In 1997, India had won a silver medal in Milton Keyes, England.
