Global Climate Risk Index

The Global Climate Risk Index or CRI is an analysis of the impact of weather related losses on various countries and regions. It quantifies the impact of extreme weather events in terms of lives lost and economic losses. It is given by Germanwatch, an NGO based in Germany in accordance with the data from Munich Re’s NatCatSERVICE. The 2021 index ranks India at the 7th spot among the most affected countries of 2019.
