For SC/ST Entrepreneurs, National Vendors Development Program conducted
The Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Steel, Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday, 13th January 2020, participated in the National Vendor Development Program on sectors of Petroleum and Steel for ST/SC Entrepreneurs and said that the vision of Babasaheb Ambedkar has inspired the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi to work with the spirit of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Vikas, under which the government will continue to take initiatives to unleash the entrepreneurial spirit of the SC/ST community, Minorities and the disadvantaged sections of the society to become the owners of businesses instead of just being job seekers.
The Minister also informed that out of 75,000 petrol pumps that will be opened under the upcoming Rs 100 lakh crore worth of National Infrastructure Pipeline project, 20,000 will be reserved for the SC/ST community, out of the 20,000, for 17,000 the government has already provided its Letter of Intent (LOI). The National Developmental Program was organized by the Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Minister also flagged off a total of 3121 Bulk LPG Trucks on Monday.
