Coronavirus Impact, India-US Healthcare Collaboration etc to be discussed in India Ideas Summit

The India Ideas Summit, to be held on July 21-22, will see discussions around various topics including the impact of COVID 19 on the global supply chain, India-US healthcare collaboration etc. The summit is arranged by the US India Business Council. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the virtual summit along with many other top leaders from both sides. The theme of the summit has been decided as ‘Building a Better Future.’

Apart from the PM, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will address the said summit whereas China’s aggressive actions will also be discussed.

US-India Business Council:
The US-India Business Council was set up in 1975 in order to promote trade and investment between both sides. The council involves the governments and the private leaders from both sides so that the investment flows can be increased. Former US Department of State Official Nisha Desai Biswal is the present Chairman of the US-India Business Council. This council partners with all the major trade associations in India such as FICCI, CII, etc. It has 12 executive committees covering almost all major business areas:
