BioHub facility

BioHub facility is a global facility that will enable timely sharing of pathogen data between laboratories for improving the inquiry and preparedness against the disease outbreaks. The world’s first BioHub facility was set up by the WHO with the help of the Swiss government. It is part of the WHO BioHub System that was announced last year.

This facility will help improve responses against future pandemics by ensuring safe reception, sequencing, storage and preparation of biological materials for the distribution to other laboratories. Member states can share biological materials with/through this facility. This will ensure seamless flow of information and health responses.
