Bangabandhu Memorial

Bangabandhu Memorial is a shrine to pay homage to Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bangladesh’s father of the nation. It is located in Tungipara in Bangladesh. This was also the birthplace of Rahman who is considered as the architect of Bangladesh’s War of Independence in 1971. Every year on August 15th, millions of people gather here to pay homage to the memorial. The Indian PM is set to visit the memorial as part of the Mujib Borsho celebrations that mark the birth centenary of Mujibur Rahman.
