Bihar Assembly election: NDA to form the Government

The Election Commission of India has declared results for the Bihar Election Assembly Election. BJP won 74 seats, RJD-75, JD-43, Congress- 19, CPI-12 and Others-20.

UP and Karantaka Assembly By-elections

In UP Assembly byelections, the BJP won six out of seven seats. The Samajwadi Party won one seat. BJP won both the seats in Karnataka Assembly byelections.

National Water Awards, 2019: Tamil Nadu tops

On November 11, 2020, the National Water Award ceremony was held. Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Rajasthan bagged the first, second and third position respectively.

On November 11, 2020, the Cabinet committee revamped the viability gap funding envisaging Rs 8,000 crores to encourage PPP investment in infrastructure sector.

The funding is to be used to boost health, education, waste water, solid waste management and water supply, among others.

Union Cabinet approves Production Linked Scheme for 10 sectors

On November 11, 2020, the Union Cabinet approved PLI (Production Linked Incentive) scheme for 10 sectors. These sectors included white goods manufacturing, pharmaceutical, specialised steel, auto, telecom, textile, food products, solar photovoltaic and cell battery.

Income Tax Appellate Tribunal inaugurated at Cuttack

On November 11, 2020, the Prime Minister Narendra said that India has moved from tax terrorism to tax transparency. The PM said this at the inauguration of an office-cum-residential complex of the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal at Cuttack.

Bahrain: Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, country’s PM since 1971, dies at 84

On November 11, 2020, Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, died at the age of 84. He was Bahrain’s prime minister since the country’s independence in 1971.  Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa (70) is the King of Bahrain. Bahrain is the home base of the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet.

IPL: Mumbai Indians win 2020

On November 10, 2020, Rohit Sharma led Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals by five wickets. This was the fifth IPL title for the Mumbai Indians, having appeared in the finals for six times.
