Candidates should keep the following documents ready before registering applications:
- Proof of essential educational qualification.
- Candidate must be in possession of either Sikkim Subject Certificate or Certificate of Identification issued by the competent authority.
- Category Certificate issued by the competent authority of the Government of Sikkim.
- Should have Valid Local Employment Card issued by the appropriate authority of the Government of Sikkim.
- No Objection Certificate from the Head of Department in case of employed candidate.
- Marital Status (for female candidate). In case of married women candidate, COI/SSC of Husband should be enclosed.

Essential Qualification
- Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery from a recognized university. Should have completed a rotatory internship of one year from a recognized institute and registered with Medical Council of India or Medical Council of any State.
- Should have knowledge of any of the State Languages.
- Should be conversant with the customs and usages of Sikkim.

Minimum: 21 years
Maximum: 50 years

Essential Qualification
- Medical qualifications included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and
- Registration as Medical Practitioners in the Medical Council of India or any other State Medical Council provided that the candidates if selected and appointed must register their names in the West Bengal Medical Council within six months of joining the West Bengal Health Service.
Age
Maximum: 36 years (ordinary medical graduates), 40 years (post graduate qualification).
Cut Off Date: 01.01.2019
Upper Age limit is relaxable by:
3 years for OBC (Non Creamy Layer) of West Bengal.
5 years for SC/ST candidates of West Bengal.

Pay Scale
Rs. 15600/- Rs. 42000/, [PB 4A , Grade Pay – Rs. 5400/- ], NPP & other allowances will also be admissible as per Government order in force.
