Asol Aap or Canoe Race is a boat race prevalent in the Nicobar Islands. Dhopkhel is a very famous indigenous ball game played in the Assam state of India. Dhopkhel is also called as 'dhop khel' and 'dhoop khel'. Jallikattu is an ancient bull taming sport practised widely in Tamil Nadu.

Kerala is the largest producer of natural rubber in India. Other important producers are Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Kerala produces about 6 lakh tons of rubber, which is more than 80 per cent of the total rubber production in India.

Lt Gen Podali Shankar Rajeshwar took over as the 14th Commander-in-Chief of the Andaman and Nicobar Command (CINCAN). He is a graduate of Indian Military Academy and was commissioned into the Regiment of Artillery in December 1980. The Gulf of Thailand is a shallow inlet of the water in the south eastern part of Asia. It is bordered by Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. It is also called Gulf of Siam. It has reduced salinity due to strong inflow of rivers at the Bay of Bangkok, coupled with its shallow depth.
Statement 2 is correct:
The Gulf of Thailand falls outside the South China Sea territory claimed by China- called the nine dash line. This gulf territory is disputed among Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand and also Malaysia. The islands located in this gulf are disputed among the states. Eg: Koh Tral Island between Vietnam and Cambodia.
Statement 3 is correct:
This gulf is a western extension of the South China Sea. The South China Sea is a marginal sea of the Pacific Ocean. It is a significant shipping route as 1/3^rd of world’s shipping traffic passes through this sea. Mekong is one of the major rivers that drains into this sea.
Statement 4 is correct:
The Kra canal or the Thai canal is a proposed project to connect this gulf with the Andaman Sea. It is a part of China’s maritime “21^st century Silk Road” project. The project is intended in southern Thailand. It will reduce the significance of the Malacca strait, situated to its south.

Statement 1 is correct:
The landing craft utility L-56 vessel will be operating from the Andaman and Nicobar islands in the Bay of Bengal. The vessel will be based and administered in Port Blair of the Andaman Nicobar Command. It this region, it will carry out coastal patrolling, surveillance, search and rescue missions etc.
Statement 2 is correct:
The primary role of the vessel is transportation and deployment of troops, armoured vehicles, battle tanks, weapons and equipment from ship to shore. It is capable of carrying 150 troops apart from 4 officers and 56 sailors. It is an amphibious vessel and can carry out multiple roles like beaching operation, disaster relief, etc.
Statement 3 is correct:
The LCU L-56 is an indigenously designed vessel, constructed by GRSE/ Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers. It was in line with the “Make in India” initiative. The inauguration ceremony was hosted at the naval base in Vizag.
