The Delhi Sultanate – The Slave Dynasty: Iltutmish (1210-1236 AD) was the third ruler of the Mamluk dynasty of Delhi of Turkic origin. He constituted a corp of 40 loyal slaves Amirs Known as Turkan-i-Chihalgani. A select body of Turkish nobility originally slaves of Iltumish which came into existence during the period of Iltumish to be destroyed by Balban later .

    A small correction to your explanation part.
    Iltumish was the second ruler of Mamluk dynasty. Not third as your explanation says.

      Iltutmish was the third ruler of mamluk dynasty.
      Because second was Araamshah..who ruled for 1210-1211AD . I believe you must be not knowing this fact #unni89

    Aram shah was the second ruler for the short period of 1 year from 1210-1211. Then he was killed by iltutmish.
