India’s former wicket-keeper batsman, Mr. Syed Kirmani has been chosen for the prestigious 2015 C.K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award. He will be the 23rd recipient of the award. The award comprises a trophy, citation and cheque for Rs. 25 lakhs. He played 88 test matches and 49 ODIs. In 1983 world cup, Kirmani won the best wicket-keeper, in it, he shared an unbeaten 126 run-partnership with Kapil Dev against Zimbabwe as the Indian captain went on to register one of India’s greatest wins at Tunbridge Wells.
