K V R Murthy
K V R Murthy has been appointed as the new Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of Jute Corporation of India Ltd. (JCI). His appointment is for a period of 5 years or till the date of his superannuation. Prior of this appointment, he was the Chief Commercial Manager of Eastern Railways. The JCI is an agency of the government of India that assists jute cultivators in states where this crop is grown and provides minimum price support. The headquarters is at Kolkata, West Bengal.
