Aditya Puri, the Managing Director of HDFC Bank, is currently the highest paid bank chief in the country. In financial year 2015, Puri earned a salary of Rs 7.39 crore compared to Rs 6.07 crore last year, up 21.74%. Chanda Kochhar, MD and Chief Executive Officer of ICICI Bank, the largest private sector lender in the country drew a salary Rs 5.85 crore, up 12% compared to her remuneration of Rs 5.23 crore in FY14. Shikha Sharma, the MD & CEO of Axis Bank got a salary hike of about 11.20% in FY15 to draw Rs 4.17 crore. In FY14, Sharma had drawn a salary of Rs 3.75 crore.
