U.R. Ananthamurthy
The book “Hindutva or Hind Swaraj” was penned by Udupi Rajagopalacharya Ananthamurthy, a contemporary writer and critic in the Kannada language. This was the very last work of the Ananthamurthy. The book examines two directions that were open to India at the time of Independence, comparing Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) founder V.D. Savarkar’s idea of Hindutva with Mahatma Gandhi’s concept of Hind Swaraj.
