The Swiss professional tennis player, Roger Federer has won his 18th Grand Slam trophy by winning the 2017 Men’s singles Australian Open tennis tournament in Melbourne by defeating Rafael Nadal of Spain by 6-4, 3-6, 6-1, 3-6, 6-3. It was Federer’s first major title win after the 2012 Wimbledon. Beside this, Federer (35) has also become the second-oldest winner of a Grand Slam tournament in the Open Era after Australian Ken Rosewall won the Australian title at the age of 37 in 1972.
