Khadija Ismayilova, an investigative journalist from Azerbaijan, has won the 2016 UNESCO/Guillermo Cano World Press Freedom Prize in recognition of her outstanding contribution to press freedom in difficult circumstances. The prize will be awarded on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day on May 3, 2016 in Finland.
