Adama Barrow, a member of the United Democratic Party (UDP), has been sworn-in as the 3rd President of Gambia at a ceremony in the Gambian embassy in Dakar, Senegal on 19th January 2017 after winning the presidential election of 2016. Prior to his presidential campaign, he was the treasurer of the UDP and operated a real estate agency.
