Ashok Kumar Singhvi
Prof. Ashok Kumar Singhvi, honorary professor of PRL Ahmadabad, has been conferred with the 2014 National Geoscience Award for Excellence for his outstanding contributions in the field of Quaternary Geology. Apart from him, Dr. Indra Kumar Sen, Assistant professor of IIT Kanpur, receives the Young Scientist Award for his contributions in the field of geochemical evolution of earth. Besides, 31-geoscientists receive the award, as individuals or team, for meritorious contributions in twelve fields of geosciences. The awards were presented by the President of India Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi.
