Surekha Marandi
Surekha Marandi has been appointed as the new Executive Director (ED) of Reserve Bank of India (RBI). She succeeded U S Paliwal, who retired on December 31, 2016. Marandi will look after Consumer Education and Protection Department, Financial Inclusion and Development Department, and Secretary’s Department. Prior to this appointment, she was the Principal Chief General Manager and Chief Vigilance Officer in the RBI.
