Gurumoorthy Mahalingam has become the new Whole-Time Member (WTM) of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for a period of 5 years or till the age of 65 years,whichever is earliest. He will get a consolidated salary of Rs 3.75 lakh. Previously, Mahalingam was the executive director and former regional director of Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
