The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Institute of Animal Welfare (NIAW) to start courses on development of animal welfare sciences at Ballabgarh campus of NIAW. These courses will help in preparing competent manpower to man various posts in zoos, municipalities, slaughter houses and veterinary hospitals. The NIAW is a division of the Ministry of Environment and Forests in India.
