The Madhya Pradesh government has become the first Indian state to launch the biggest and first-ever crop insurance claim distribution programme worth Rs 4,416 crore in Ujjain. With this, Madhya Pradesh has become the first Indian state where the claims under Prime Ministers Crop Insurance schemes are being disbursed. Under the Crop Insurance Scheme, the farmers who lost Kharif Crop in the year 2015 due to natural calamities will be benefited. The insurance claim amount will be provided to the farmers in their bank accounts through online procedure.
