Rajasthan has become the first Indian state to introduce minimum wages for part time. As per the notification, it is now mandatory to pay 50 % of the prescribed a day minimum wage to a person who works for less than 4 hours in a day. With this notification, now part time workers come under the Minimum Wages Act 1948.
