Imtiaz Sooliman
Dr. Imtiaz Sooliman, an Indian-origin man in South Africa, has been awarded the prestigious Global Citizen Award by international citizenship advisory firm Henley & Partners for his innovative and visionary contribution to the global community. Sooliman is the founder of the internationally-lauded Gift of the Givers Foundation. The Global Citizen Award is bestowed annually to an inspirational individual who has made an extraordinary contribution towards improving the global community. The award consists of a specially-made commemorative medal, an award certificate and a $ 50,000 monetary prize, of which $ 25,000 is donated to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
