Ravi Reddy
Ravi Reddy, an Indian-origin South African, has been appointed as the head of International Society for Blood Transfusion (ISBT), a global organization of medicine professionals working for the safety of blood transfusion worldwide. With this, Reddy became the first person from the African continent to head ISBT. Presently, Reddy is the Chief Operations Officer (COO) of the South African National Blood Service (SANBS). The purpose of ISBT is to promote the study of blood transfusion and has its headquarters at Amsterdam, Netherlands.
