The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has constituted a high-level committee to prepare a road map for restructuring the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The committee is chaired by Niti Aayog Vice Chairman Arvind Panagariya. Apart from this, Arvind Panagariya committee , which is working on restructuring of Medical Council of India (MCI), has recommended replacing MCI with the National Medical Commission (NMC).
