Public participation in promoting integrity and eradicating Corruption
The 2016 Vigilance Awareness Week is observed every year from October 31 across India to promote probity in public life and achieve a corruption free society. The observance of week commenced with pledge taking by public servants in the Ministries, Departments, PSUs, Banks and all other Organizations. The 2016 theme of the week is “Public participation in promoting integrity and eradicating Corruption”. During the week, several functions will be organized by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) to create awareness among the people about the corrupt practices as it adversely affects the development of the country.
