Soils and pulses, a symbiosis for life
The World Soil Day 2016 is observed every year on December 5 to connect people with soils and raise awareness on their critical importance in our lives. The 2016 theme is “Soils and pulses, a symbiosis for life”, which focuses on the positive contributions of pulses to soil properties, such as fixing the atmosphere nitrogen and improving its biodiversity, fertility and structure.
