As per the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2015 Global Competitiveness Index, India ranked 55th position among 140 economies of the world. The list is topped by Switzerland, followed by Singapore, the U.S., Germany, the Netherlands, Japan, Hong Kong, Finland, Sweden and the UK. Among the larger emerging markets, South Africa (49), China (28), Indonesia (37) and Brazil (75).
