What is India’s ranking in the Baseline Profitability Index (BPI) for investment?

India was placed at First position in the Baseline Profitability Index (BPI) for investment among 110 countries. India was 6th in 2014 BPI and Hong Kong was ranked number one. The ranking is preferred on three that affect the ultimate success of a foreign investment: how much the value of an asset grows; the preservation of that value while the asset is owned; and the ease of repatriation of proceeds from selling the asset. In this edition China was place at the 65th position and US was placed at the 50th.
