The Thal Favang Kut festival has started at Aizawl in In Mizoram with enthusiasm and fervour. The 3-day long festival is being organised by Department of Tourism, Government of Mizoram. Thal Favang Kut is a post harvest festival which is celebrated after harvesting the paddy. It is celebrated every year in Mizoram to thank the Almighty as well as to promote tourism in the state.
