The Public Service Broadcasting Day is observed every year on November 12 in India to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi’s maiden visit to All India Radio (AIR) studio. On November 12, 1947, the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi visited the studio of All India Radio, Delhi for the first and last time. He addressed the refugees from Pakistan, stationed at the camp at Kurukshetra in Haryana after partition.
