The 7th edition of Mountain Echoes literary festival 2016 will be held in Thimpu, Bhutan on August 26 to 28, 2016. It is an initiative of India-Bhutan Foundation in association with Siyahi, a literary organization. The festival aims to provide a platform for the greatest literary minds to engage in a cultural dialogue. In 2016, the festival will focus on climate change, women’s voices and travel writing. Beside this, the festival will also announced the first edition of ‘Bonfire Tales’: A cultural journey that travels via motorcycle to the Phobjikha valley in the impressive Black Mountains of Bhutan and then onto the warm climes of Punakha.
