The 2016 International Gita festival will be held at Kurukshetra in Haryana on December 6 to take the eternal message of the holy book to the international stage. The 5-day festival will be inaugurated by President Pranab Mukherjee. A number of cultural performances, art shows, literary events and festivities will mark the celebrations up to December 10. Approx 18,000 students from all over Haryana will recite the shlokas of the Gita at the sacred Brahma Sarovar in Kurukshetra.
