An India-based bio-tech firm, Nualgi won the prestigious Climate CoLab award given by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge in Washington, DC. With this, Nualgi became the first Indian company to win the 2015 MIT contest. This Indian technology firm founded by T Sampath Kumar of Bangalore after 15 years of research and development in the field of Nano biotechnology. The firm is used to grow diatom algae in all types and volumes of water, from aquariums to oceans. The Climate CoLab organises annual contest on various issues relating to climate change, fuel consumption, energy consumption for sewage treatment and water supply.
