Nedumkayam, Nilambur in Malapuram District of Kerala has become the India’s first cashless and digital tribal colony. The people of this colony, in spite of threats from the Maoists, are all set for digital transactions. The declaration was made after adequate training for the entire tribal people of the colony in cashless transaction and digital literacy. The training was completed with the support of National Service Scheme, volunteers of an Arts and Science College at Kondotty and Jan Sikshan Sansthan, of Malappuram district.
