The world’s second largest diamond ever has been discovered in Botswana. The 1,111-carat diamond measures 2.5 inches by 2.2 inches. It is the largest diamond to be discovered anywhere in the world in more than 100 years. The 3,106-carat Cullinan Diamond, recovered from Pretoria of South Africa in 1905, is widely considered to be the world’s largest gem-quality diamond.
