Notes: In December 2020, Kerala launched the pilot project of ‘Kaval Plus programme’, to support children in need of care and survivors of sexual abuse in the state. After the success of the pilot project, the Department of Women and Child Development in Kerala is set to expand Kaval Plus to five more districts. It covers the children at homes, child care institutes, and those in the community outside the ambit of child welfare committees.
