Notes: Uttar Pradesh Police launched Operation Savera in Saharanpur region. It aims to move society from addiction darkness to a drug-free life. The drive is directed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and DGP (Director General of Police) Rajeev Krishna. It will target illegal drug manufacturers, suppliers, intermediaries, and peddlers. Police will dismantle drug trafficking networks by cutting forward and backward linkages. Strict legal action will be taken against mafias dealing in narcotics and psychotropic substances. Properties gained from drug trade will be confiscated. Special awareness campaigns will educate students and society on drug abuse harms.
