Acclaimed Canadian filmmaker Atom Egoyan will be honoured with a lifetime achievement award at the 2017 International Film Festival of India (IFFI), which is to be held in Panaji, Goa from November 20th to 28th. Egoyan is best known for his films “Exotica”, “The Sweet Hereafter” and “Chloe”. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will inaugurate the Film Festival. Over 200 films would be screened during the festival. Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi’s movie “Beyond The Clouds” will be the opening film of the fest, while Indo-Argentine film “Thinking of Him” by filmmaker Pablo Cesar will be the closing film of the festival.
