UNDP in partnership with AIM launches Accelerator Lab in New Delhi

The United Nation’s network for global development, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on Thursday, November 28, 2019, launched the Accelerator lab in New Delhi to scale and test new solutions to global challenge such as climate change, gender inequality etc.

Government of India’s Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) is a partner of the UNDP Accelerator Labs in India. In India, the programme will also address solutions to issues such as youth employment and circular economy.

The accelerator lab will be a part of the network of 60 global labs across the world serving 78 countries.
The laboratories are housed inside the UNDP offices working with the aim of making faster progress to achieve the ambitious Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.
The laboratories have a team of engineers, designers, entrepreneurs and ethnographers working along with UNDP experts towards biodiversity, poverty reduction and gender equality.
The programme is supported by UNDP core resources and financing from Germany, Italy and Qatar.
